Let me share a part of my story with you. To avoid making this too lengthy, I won’t delve into every detail from my birth to the present day. Instead, I’ll focus on the part where my journey with the internet began.
A Chance Encounter with Design Software
During an election period in our village, there was a need for posters for advertising. A shop nearby was designing and printing posters using computers. One day, I visited that shop to see what they were doing. They were using software to create posters. I got interested in their work process and asked about the software they were using.
Although I wasn’t very familiar with software back then, they introduced me to CorelDRAW. I asked more about installing and using it, and while their explanations were a bit difficult to grasp, I managed to learn the name and install it on my computer.
Since my father’s shop dealt with fixing electrical equipment, we often had old and slow computer machines. However, my father had bought a computer from scraps, which I began using.
My Initial Days on the Internet
I also had a small mobile phone that I had learned to use for internet access. I taught myself how to use the internet by asking others in the village who knew about it. YouTube was pretty new at that time, and the internet wasn’t as popular as it is now—this was around 2014 to 2015, if I recall correctly.
The Discovery of Online Earning
As I mentioned, my father’s shop focused on electrical repairs, and I would spend my free time creating electrical items. I looked for videos on YouTube that showed “how to make” these items. But I didn’t know people were making money from these videos.
I wondered why these videos were there and why they were free. Why teach these skills?
Then, one day, I realized that maybe these tutorials were actually promoting tools instead of being purely free tutorials. However, this wasn’t entirely true. At one point, I searched for “CorelDRAW” on YouTube and found tutorials on how to use it. In one of those videos, the creator mentioned the chance to earn online by offering services on a platform called “Fiverr.”
The term “Online Earning” caught my attention. I was curious about what it meant. I looked it up on YouTube and found numerous videos teaching about making money online. During that time, I discovered that people were indeed earning online. This was the beginning of my journey into online earning.
Trials, Errors, and The Breakthrough
I watched YouTube videos and tried to do what I saw. I made a YouTube channel, uploaded videos, but didn’t get many views. The channel didn’t really take off. So, I made another channel with a different topic, but that didn’t work either. I tried different approaches and created several channels; some got a decent number of views, while others didn’t do well.
While learning from YouTube, I experimented with various online earning methods. I started my learning and implementation journey. Some of my channels did okay. But I still didn’t understand how to make money from them. I researched YouTube ad revenue and different ways of earning, struggling to understand the concepts.
Even though I couldn’t monetize through YouTube, I kept uploading videos. The views started to improve, but I was still unsure about how to earn.
Then, one day, someone watched my videos and reached out to me. At first, i was skeptical and worried about potential scams. But they patiently explained various methods, including creating websites alongside YouTube channels. They provided valuable advice on building websites and shared their expertise on making money online.
The Importance of Continuous Learning
What sets me apart is my habit of researching and learning from the internet. Whenever someone mentions something, I search and learn about it. This has helped me make progress. I continued learning and implementing through the internet, which has brought me to where I am today.
I tried different paths over the last 8 years, and I’ve explored various fields just as I mentioned in my introduction. These include digital marketing, freelancing, blogging, app and website development, YouTube, and many more. This has given me experience in a range of skills.
